Refund Policy

Effective date: 2026-05-25

The short version:
  1. The Free tier gives you the leaderboards and opportunity library at no cost, so you can evaluate before paying. Pro and Max start immediately and can be cancelled anytime to stop future charges.
  2. Once paid, we generally don't issue refunds — but you can cancel at any time and won't be billed again.
  3. If the fault is ours (double charge, technical failure, account compromise), you get a full refund.

1. Free tier and subscriptions

The Free tier costs nothing. Sign up and you get the full leaderboards and opportunity library with no payment method required, so you can evaluate properly before paying. When you need the YouTube / Pinterest / SEO analysis tools and the AI assistant, subscribe to Pro or Max — it takes effect immediately and bills right away for the cycle you pick (monthly or yearly). You can cancel anytime from your account page.

2. Refund rules for paid subscriptions

Because the Free tier already gives you the data features at no cost and lets you evaluate before paying, we do not offer refunds after payment. This is standard practice in the industry (ChatGPT Plus, Claude.ai, and GitHub Copilot all work this way).

Specifically:

  • Monthly subscriptions: billed once per month. No daily or weekly prorated refunds.
  • Yearly subscriptions: billed once for 12 months. No monthly prorated refunds.
  • Cancelling: cancel anytime from your account page → Manage subscription. You won't be billed again, and you keep access through the end of the period you already paid for.

3. When we do refund

The following are our fault or otherwise abnormal, and we will issue a full refund:

  • Duplicate charges: billed twice or more for the same period.
  • Technical failure: a failure on our side leaves paid features unavailable for more than 48 hours.
  • Account compromise: someone else used your account to start a subscription without authorization (documentation required).
  • Unauthorized charges: you never used Qiit but your account was charged.
  • Legally required: refund situations mandated by consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.

4. When we don't refund

  • “I used it for a while and it isn't for me” — cancel anytime to stop future charges.
  • “I forgot to cancel before it auto-renewed” — you can cancel ahead of time on your account page.
  • “I switched to another product” — that's a personal choice.
  • “It isn't as powerful as I expected” — please evaluate thoroughly on the Free tier first.
  • Your account was terminated for violating our Terms of Service.
  • You requested it after more than half the subscription period had elapsed (you have clearly used most of the service).

5. How to request a refund

If you believe your situation falls under section 3, get in touch:

  • Email [email protected]
  • Subject line: [Refund request] your registered email
  • In the body, include: your registered email, when you subscribed, why you're requesting a refund, and any supporting evidence (e.g. a screenshot of the duplicate charge).

We reply within 3 business days. Once approved, the refund goes back through the original payment channel (Stripe) and typically lands in 5–10 business days, depending on your card issuer.

6. Disputes and chargebacks

If you disagree with a charge, please contact us first. We can resolve the vast majority of cases quickly. Filing a chargeback with your bank or Stripe without contacting us first may result in:

  • Your account being frozen immediately until the dispute is resolved.
  • Us submitting your full usage record and this agreement to Stripe as evidence.
  • Legal action, where a chargeback is confirmed to be made in bad faith.

7. Changes to this policy

This refund policy may change as the business develops. No change affects the refund rules for subscriptions already paid for before that change took effect. We give at least 14 days' notice of material changes, on-site or by email.
